Many people take Ubers and Lyfts on a regular basis. Whether they need a ride to work or school, rideshare drivers are ready to take passengers to their destinations. Amigo Insurance discusses the risks involved in ridesharing and how ridesharing experiences can be safer for passengers and drivers.

There are the more known risks that passengers should be considerate about, like getting into the wrong car. Before getting into a car make sure that the license plate matches the car that is supposed to pick you up. Also, ask the driver who they are picking up. If they cannot give you a name, then you should not get in the car with them.

On the other hand, a driver should be careful with the passengers they allow into their vehicle. If you are a driver, make sure to check the rating that a customer has before agreeing to pick them up. Remember, you have a choice of who you want to let into your car. Keep in mind that passengers with no rating can also pose a risk because other drivers have not had a chance to interact with them yet. These are only some of the suggestions that Amigo Insurance brings up about safety and risks.
